Artists for Artists

Amber Slaughter is best known as a grassroots activist and as the Co-Founder & Executive Director of Artists for Artists, a Houston based 501(c)3 nonprofit arts organization with a mission to serve the creative community through emergency relief, wellness programming, mental health support, and community-based visual arts programming. What many people don’t know is that Amber is also a classically trained artist who took a 15 year hiatus to expand her skillset in the world of global branding, hotel, and retail development.

B. Anele

B. Anele is a transcendentalist and or practitioner and or a consideration and or an artist working in Houston, Texas. Hannah Bull

Hannah Bull is an artist and educator, born and raised in Houston, Texas, whose work centers around a conservation effort referred to as “rewilding,” which cultivates symbiotic and nurturing authentic relationships with nature and humanity. As an educator, Bull curates love, community and compassion in and outside of the classroom. Bull’s process has led her to create a visual language in a phrase she’s coined Floral Drip, a metaphor that symbolizes the beautiful manifestation of life in its fundamental forms—color, flora and wavelengths of light and energy.

Kill Joy

Kill Joy's work is grounded in honoring the earth and seeking environmental and social justice through both imaginative worlds and social movements. Her work is an interpretation of world mythology and a study of ancient symbols. She integrates storytelling with calls to spiritual and political awareness and action.

POSEY

Posey is a renaissance style naturally dried & sustainable floral shop, with the mindset of educating others on how to naturally preserve flowers and the memories they hold, forever, along with other ways you can repurpose or reuse your florals.
Posey makes things from everlasting floral bouquets to arrangements, flower wall art, sculpture, wreaths, and ceiling hangings.

Raychel Harvey

RayTrill Harvey is a multimedia artist from Houston TX. She got her start during the pandemic after, like most of us, she was laid off. Raychel picked up a paintbrush and never stopped painting since that day. Shortly after, a friend introduced her to a can of spray paint and she fell deeply in love with the art of graffiti and creating murals and quickly climbed the ranks in Texas painting with some of the best artists in the area. When she's not spray painting you can find her building her skoolie and traveling to find hidden street art around the world.

Tim Steinke

Tim Steinke is a Houston-based artist with a background in large-scale interactive art pieces for site-specific installations, live music shows, and special events. His work in visual production for live shows and events has partnered him with numerous artists and musicians from around the world.
